Acacia oswaldii (Umbrella Wattle)

Shrub or tree, 0.5-.8m high. Branchlets typically with many red resinous hairlets. Found in all mainland states except NT. Widepsread but rather uncommon throughout north-western Victoria, mainly in calcareous sands or loams. Flowers November-January. A transcontinental species with many variations. Similar to Acacia lanigera wwhich is a small shrub with woolly branchlets.
