Bulbine semibarbata (Leek Lily)

Tufted annuals to 30cm high. Roots fibrous. Found in all States except NT. Yellow flowers.Rather common in drier northern regions north and west from near Bendigo. Usually found on light often sandy soils, extending to the far north-west near Lake Wallawalla, scattered and rather uncommon elsewhere in the State (eg. Mt Arapiles, Port Campbell, Mt Hedrick, Mitchell River near Glenaladale, Omeo-Benambra district, Murrungowar) Flowers spring-summer. The species includes a large number of forms within a complex polypoloid series.
