Calotis hispidula (Hairy Burr-daisy)

Prostrate to ascending annual with stem to 12cm long. Found in all mainland States. Locally common in the north-west of Victoria, usually occurring on heavier soils in mallee, box woodlands and Eucalyptus camaldulensis forests, less commonly on deep dune sands of the Sunset Country and Big Desert. Flowers mostly August-October.
