Mallee Fowl galore!

Colleen Barnes, from Neds Corner Station, took this photo of a large group of Mallee Fowls' near Patchewollock recently.  Their large numbers are a suprise given the species is listed

as vulnerable under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999.  The photo ended up as a short article in the Weekly Times with the Victorian Mallee Fowl Recovery Group secretary, Ross Macfarlane saying the photo and the Group's research show the species population is booming - which is great news!
