Pittosporum angustifolium (Weeping Pittosporum)


Otherwise known as Pittosporum phylliraeoides. Slender shrub or tree to 10m high. Flowers unisexual (possibly sometimes bisexual) and sweet-scented. Found in all mainland states. Locally common in north-western Victoria, more often on heavier loam soils than deep sands of the dunefields, with isolated occurrences in the south at eg. Mt Arapiles, Edenhope district, and scattered along the Murray floodplain as far west as Rutherglen. Flowers September-November.
