Rhagodia spinescens (Hedge Saltbush)

Divaricately branched shrub to 1m high. Found in all mainland states. Widespread through north-western Victoria, usually on rather heavy, saline or sub saline soils at lake margins, in dune swales or on flats. Sometimes forming dense, hedge like stands. Flowers mostly January-April. A variable species with extremes from plants with triangular densely white-mealy leaves to plants with small, glistening grey-green leaves with intermediate forms/characters.
