Sclerochlamys diacantha

Prostrate herb with woody rootstock to weakly erect sub shrub to 20cm high. Branches densely short-woolly. Found in all mainland states. Locally common in north-western Victoria where occurring chiefly on heavier, sometimes sub saline sandy loams. Disjunct occurrences are known from Bendigo Whipstick area, near Avoca and Bacchus Marsh-Melton areas west of Melbourne. Fruits most of year.
